A birding trip to Taiwan in January 2016. Birding was superb despite some rain and unstable weather, connected with 21 endemics and 25 endemic subspecies, our total trip count was 122. For more information and full trip report, please visit the following link to my blog:

Nice photos, some beautiful birds to see in Taiwan. I hope to see a collared bush robin one day.
Excellent report as well. Author: kmatthew Time: 1/02/2016 23:05
Cheers John! Collared Bush Robins are quite common at Dasyueshan and it's a good place for most of the island's endemics, a very handsome bird indeed and one of my favourite too. Author: wcaptain Time: 2/02/2016 09:40

A superb post and great photos!
I birded near Yu Shan (Jade Mountain) a few years ago with many of these birds seen too - another excellent location. It's a very quiet area once you get away from the main Yu Shan hiking trails.

Cheers Ken! Yu Shan is relatively under birded by visiting birders I think, but no doubt will hold similar species. We chose Dasyueshan and Sun-Link-Sea area base on the accessibility of the location. Will no doubt like to visit other areas in the near future. Author: Jeremy-Yu Time: 7/02/2016 22:38
