Nice photos, some beautiful birds to see in Taiwan. I hope to see a collared bush robin one day.

Excellent report as well.

Cheers John! Collared Bush Robins are quite common at Dasyueshan and it's a good place for most of the island's endemics, a very handsome bird indeed and one of my favourite too.

A superb post and great photos!

I birded near Yu Shan (Jade Mountain) a few years ago with many of these birds seen too - another excellent location. It's a very quiet area once you get away from the main Yu Shan hiking trails.

Cheers Ken! Yu Shan is relatively under birded by visiting birders I think, but no doubt will hold similar species. We chose Dasyueshan and Sun-Link-Sea area base on the accessibility of the location. Will no doubt like to visit other areas in the near future.
