Had a field trip to Xinjiang during 9-11 May. Bird watching is not my mainly activitiy in this trip. So, I took few species of birds. I tried my best to identify them from the China Bird Field Guide. Please help to correct if I am wrong.

1. 大杜鵑 Eurasian Cuckoo

2. 棕尾伯勞 Rufous-tailed Shrike isabellinus

3. 普通樓燕 Common Swift

4. 家燕 Barn Swallow

5. 赤胸朱頂雀 Eurasian Linnet

6. 小嘴烏鴉 Carrion Crow

7. 渡鴉 Common Raven

8. 灰藍山雀 Azure Tit

9. 金額絲雀 Fire-fronted Serin

10. 白鶺鴒 White Wagtail personata

11. 黑耳鳶 Black-eared Kite

Nice pictures. One or two corrections:

No. 6 is a female Rufous-tailed Shrike, this bird and the male in photo 2 are of the nominate subspecies isabellinus which is a migrant through Xinjiang, breeding in NE China and Mongolia. Arenarius which is an endemic breeding taxon in S Xinjiang (and perhaps also the Qaidam) is much sandier, has sandy brown primaries, an incomplete mask and lacks a white primary patch.

No. 8 is a Ravern (note the strongly graduated tail and heavy bill).
