Halfly blocked by a Common Redshank...
Are there enough details to ID is as a common or Nordmann's Greenshank

yeah i think its a Nordmann's too. Was in MP on the 7th of May, and similarly there were a couple of Nordmann's roosting among the Redshanks

Cannot see cleary its bill and underparts. No experience with Nordmann's yet~

Even without the bill and underparts, it's possible to confirm this bird as a Nordmann's on the upperpart pattern. Some scapulars and tertials have dark centres with large white 'notches' on the side - these are typical breeding plumage features for Nordmann's Greenshank. Common would typically have grey-brown centres to the feathers with a narrow white fringe and usually some smaller black and white marks at the sides of the feathers.

This upperpart pattern is a useful feature to learn to pick out Nordmann's Greenshank.
