This looks like a red-flanked bluetail, but my guide is outdated and is missing many species like Red-brested, Taiga and many others in HK. Can anyone help me identify this one?

You can just see that the tail is black and white, which suggests Red-throated (=Taiga) or Red-breasted. These are similar and difficult to separate. On this bird the bill looks all black and I think it is Red-throated. Author: thebirdguy Time: 14/01/2017 18:36
