2018年4月15日舉行的《蒲台及南面水域觀鳥活動》詳情如下：

日期：2018年4月15日 星期日
行程時間：上午 8 時至下午約 4時

集合時間：08:00
集合地點：西灣河地鐡站恆生銀行

目標鳥種：海鳥及過境遷徙鳥

活動費用：
會員 - HK$160
非會員 -HK$200

行程安排: 開船後會直接到蒲台島或在途中於南部水域找尋海鳥，然後大隊會在蒲台島上有自由時間(各自觀鳥，新手亦可選擇跟隨領隊觀鳥)，建議參加者在島上午膳。大約到正午12時至1時左右返回船上，然後船會開往南丫海峽尋找海鳥，到大約下午4時回程。請注意，活動領隊將有權更改及決定當日行程安排。

名額只限48位，請把報名表格連同費用寄/交回香港觀鳥會辦公室報名參加 (本會會員有優先參與權利)

本會將於活動舉行前2星期以電郵或電話與參加者確認出席，確認後無論參加者能否出席，都必須繳付所需的交通費用。如果是次活動是因為惡劣天氣或特殊情況而被本會取消，本會將會退回參加者所繳付的費用。

Details of Po Toi and HK South Waters outing to be held on 15 April 2018 as below:-


Date: 15/4/2018 Sunday
Activity time: 08:00-16:00

Gathering time: 08:00
Gathering place: Hang Seng Bank, Sai Wan Ho MTR Station



Target Species: Seabirds and Migrants

Outing fee:
Member - HK$160
Non-member - HK$200

Arrangement: The boat will go to Po Toi Island directly OR will spend some time in the south waters to search for seabirds. The group will then have free time on the island (new comers can follow the leader to watch birds on the island) and participants are suggested to have their lunch on the island. The group should be back to the boat around 12:00-1:00 (depends on the leader's decision) and then the boat will stay in the Lamma Channel in the afternoon to look for seabirds and end at 4:00pm. Please note that this is a brief arrangement and the activity leader will have the right to make the final decision.

Limited to 48 participants only - please return the registration form together with outing fee to HKBWS Office for registration.

HKBWS will re-confirm with contact person of their attendance 2 weeks before the outing by email or by phone.  Once confirmed, no refund will be made no matter they can attend the outing or not. Refund will be made only if the outing is cancelled officially due to inclement weather or special reason.

Very quiet for birds both at sea and on Po Toi, with the arrival of strong northeasterly wind and some rain. Tomorrow or Tuesday should be much better.

Best bird on Po Toi was a Brown-breasted Flycatcher near the helipad toilet block.

At sea, one Great Crested Tern, 3 tern sp (probably also Great Crested), and about 25 Red-necked Phalarope.

We returned via the West Lamma Channel and on Green Island and its nearby satellite island were an adult White-breated Sea Eagle and a White-throated Kingfisher.

Also seen at sea were some waders, including about 10 Pacific Golden Plovers, and there were some Pacific Reef Egrets near Po Toi and Green Island.

15/4/2018  蒲台及南面水域觀鳥活動(0800-1630)
多雲間中有雷雨, 吹東北風4-5級風  17-23度

Thanks Richard for leading the boat trip.
47人出席是次觀察海鳥遷徒活動，無論海上或蒲台島上，鳥況也極為清靜，最好鳥種為蒲台首個紀錄到的褐胸鶲，登蒲台島期間大雨，觀鳥機會不多。
另一領隊Richard分析，相信突然而來的冷峰帶來強烈東北風，將遷徒海鳥趕至遠離香港。一般相信，南或東南風，較有利將海鳥帶到香港近南中國海域一帶，那在蒲台以南，才會較容易觀察海鳥/水鳥遷徒。
其實9/4冷峰/北風來襲,一批鳥友亦有出海觀海鳥, 但海上亦只見很少鳥種,未知純因北風來襲, 還是本年度海鳥遷徒提早行動？(因本春季溫暖天氣似乎提早很多到來…)
今次紀綠到的遷徒鳥種大約11+ 種。

蒲台島上遷徒鳥種有：
1.褐胸鶲(蒲台首個紀綠)Brown-breasted Flycatcher
2.北灰鶲Asian Brown Flycatcher
3.灰背椋鳥White-shouldered Starling
4.小白腰雨燕House Swift

(海上紀錄:由出現順序排列)
(另有數群無法辨認的名遷徒鳥)
5.小白鷺                Little Egret
6.紅頸反蹼鷸Red-necked Phalarope 25
7.八哥(可能是遷徒)Crested Mynas 40+
8.太平洋金斑鴴Pacific Golden Plovers 10
9.大鳳頭燕鷗Great Crested Tern        1
   (另有3隻可能亦是大鳳頭燕鷗)
10.白腰草鷸         Green Sandpiper
11.家燕                Barn Swallow

回程經西博寮海峽(南丫外圍)往中環碼頭，在青洲一帶見到另一些鳥種。
12.白腹海鵰(留鳥) White-bellied Sea Eagle
13.白胸翡翠(留鳥) While-throated Kingfisher
14.岩鷺(留鳥) Pacific Reef Egrets
