Very quiet for birds both at sea and on Po Toi, with the arrival of strong northeasterly wind and some rain. Tomorrow or Tuesday should be much better.
Best bird on Po Toi was a Brown-breasted Flycatcher near the helipad toilet block.
At sea, one Great Crested Tern, 3 tern sp (probably also Great Crested), and about 25 Red-necked Phalarope.
We returned via the West Lamma Channel and on Green Island and its nearby satellite island were an adult White-breated Sea Eagle and a White-throated Kingfisher. Author: lrichard Time: 15/04/2018 18:16
Also seen at sea were some waders, including about 10 Pacific Golden Plovers, and there were some Pacific Reef Egrets near Po Toi and Green Island. Author: rosefinch Time: 17/04/2018 00:47
Thanks Richard for leading the boat trip.
Brown-breasted Flycatcher
Asian Brown Flycatcher
White-shouldered Starling
House Swift
Little Egret
Red-necked Phalarope 25
Crested Mynas 40+
Pacific Golden Plovers 10
Great Crested Tern 1
Green Sandpiper
Barn Swallow
