世界自然基金會之斯科特野外研習中心將進行重建工程，並於二零一九年八月十六日開始進行圍板工程，因此斯科特野外研習中心及米埔訪客中心之停車場需要關閉，暫停開放。
如欲前往米埔自然保護區之公眾人士可於網上報名，我們會提供接駁巴士服務，往來朗屏，落馬洲及米埔(逢星期五、六、日及公眾假期)
如上述工程為閣下帶來不便之處，敬請見諒。

In regarding to decanting of Peter Scott Field Studies Centre, the installation of hoarding at PSFSC will be started from August 16, 2019. Thus, the parking area will be closed.

Shuttle bus services will be provided from Long Ping Visitor Centre and Mai Po Nature Reserve with a stop at the Lok Ma Chau public transport interchange. Advance booking is recommended. (Fridays to Sundays & Public Holidays.)

It would be useful if WWF could give some more information about the arrangements at PSFSC.

How long will this disruption take? When will the facilities be available to the public again?

How do visitors to the reserve book a place on the shuttle bus? How much does it cost? How many seats are available?
How frequent are the buses and what are the timings? Are they timed to coincide with suitable tides (for birders) or with WWF tours?
What will be the access arrangements during Monday-Thursday, when it seems that the shuttle buses are not running?
Is there any car parking available nearby for visitors, or will everyone be expected to take public transport?

What about the facilities at the visitor centre? I assume that the permits for the reserve and registration of visitors will be done in the temporary hut now on site.
Some visitors use the toilets, water fountain and drinks machine at the PSFSC. Are alternative arrangements being made?

自今年5月起，米埔的訪客可享往返朗屏訪客中心及米埔自然保護區的接駁巴士服務。為了方便您的出行，該接駁巴士更會額外途徑落馬洲地區的停車場。接駁巴士將服務所有預訂生態導賞團的訪客及已登記同創米埔的人仕。

您可於網上預訂2020年6月30日前的生態導賞團，接駁巴士班次可按此瀏覽，如需預訂接駁巴士請按此。訪客集合及出發地點可於網站查閱，目前接駁巴士僅於星期五、六、日及公眾假期提供服務。

我們將於今年12月8日結束斯科特野外研習中心的「城市綠洲」相展及相關設施，正門外的安全中心將一直運作，並用於接待學校團體及訪客。Urban Spring飲水機、自動販賣機和我們的職員將一直為您服務。此外，洗手間亦位於接待處旁。

自今年8月16日起，一些設備（如隔音屏）會被放置在前院，可能對停車造成影響。但私家車仍可以先到先得的方式泊車，巴士則可在洗手間附近的轉彎處掉頭。情況將持續至明年三四月份。

斯科特野外研習中心重建期間，米埔自然保護區正常開放，我們的安全中心和接待處位於正門外。

Since May, visitors to Mai Po Nature Reserve have enjoyed our shuttle bus service between the Long Ping Visitor Centre and Mai Po Nature Reserve. The route takes in car parks in the Lok Ma Chau area, providing an additional pick-up point to offer visitors greater flexibility. The shuttle bus service is provided to all members of the public that book an eco-visit, and is available to individuals registered with our Mai Po Community.

Our public eco-visits are open for bookings online at wwf.org.hk up to 30 June 2020. The bus schedule is on our website here, and advance bookings can be made online here. The meeting and departure point for public visitors to Mai Po is from Long Ping Visitor Centre (currently the shuttle bus operates Fridays to Sundays and public holidays) with latest information available on the booking website.

We will close the Connect2Nature exhibition and facilities at the existing Peter Scott building from 8 December 2019. WWF will continue to operate from the PSFSC site safety office, located outside the main gate on the same site, in the village outside Mai Po Nature Reserve. The site safety office and reception will serve as a meeting point for school tours and cater for walk-in visitors. The Urban Spring water dispenser, vending machine, and our friendly staff, will be available as usual. Public toilets are just next door to the reception.

From 16 August 2019, there may be some disruption with moving of equipment, such as noise barriers, to be stored in the forecourt. Private cars are still able to park on a first come, first served basis, whilst coaches can U-turn at the turning area adjacent to the public toilets. This arrangement is expected to continue until March/April 2020.

Mai Po Nature Reserve will remain open to visitors throughout the upcoming Peter Scott Field Studies Centre rebuild, and the PSFSC site safety office and reception will remain outside the main gate.

Any update on the Peter Scott Field Studies Centre rebuild?
When will the new building be completed?
Car parking arrangement etc?

Thank you for your questions.

The re-build of Peter Scott Field Studies Centre is part of the Mai Po infrastructure upgrade project. The rebuild is currently in full swing and expected to complete by the end of year 2022.  

WWF is also renovating the learning facilities and exhibition area at Mai Po Education Centre. These indoor works are also in progress and are expected to be completed by the 2nd quarter of 2022.

WWF acknowledges the parking issues at Mai Po and we have been sharing the concern with relevant government departments.
