為配合觀鳥活動關係，北面浮屋及賽馬會浮屋將會於以下日子及時間，暫停對外開放。各觀鳥人士，敬請使用其他浮屋。不便之處，敬請見諒。如有任何查詢，請致電 6439 0461與中心職員聯絡。

Due to bird watching activities, northern floating hide and Jockey Club Floating Hide will be temporarily closed as below table. To birdwatchers, please kindly visit the other floating hide. We are sorry for the inconvenience caused. In case of any further enquires, please feel free to contact us at 6439 0461.

為何因要配合 WWF 的 "收費觀鳥活動" 而剝奪其他觀鳥者的觀鳥機會,而且非一,兩天, 而是整個鳥季的合適觀鳥日子,相信好多鳥友有同樣疑問,可否解釋解釋

What are the participants of these WWF activities?  Are they new to bird watching or experienced bird watchers?  
For beginners, just a tour around the ponds to see egrets, cormorants and some ducks will arouse their interests and there is no need to fully occupy the northern bird hide for 10:00 to 15:00, which basically is the whole day for bird watching, for so many days.
The northern bird hide is special, and it attracts keen bird watchers and the best bird photographers.  With due respect, restricting these people to the northern bird hide solely for introducing ecology or bird watching to beginners is a wrong allocation of resources.

3月開始是雀鳥春季遷徙過境季節，而北面浮屋是觀察濱鷸等過境水鳥的最佳位置。但現在為了小眾而犧牲眾多本地觀鳥者的權利是不公平，不可接受。請WWF放棄是次安排。請WWF盡快回應。

We are dedicated to promoting ecological conservation through eco-visits. In view of the narrow floating boardwalk and to avoid overcrowding in the birdhide, a visitor diversion arrangement has been introduced to ensure the safety of all users. 多謝貴會回應。
但，為何貴會不使用較大的南面浮屋？
因為北屋較多鳥友使用。
請問，如此局部關閉浮屋安排是否只在3月？因為這安排實在對眾多鳥友帶來很大不便。

WWF 將時段縮短了, 但如果對照一下天文台的潮汐預報, 封閉觀鳥屋的時段正正是水位最佳的時段.

These are some of the best weekend tides of the year, especially for gulls, which are best viewed from the northern hide.
I find it disappointing that WWF has prioritised their paid tours for one-off visitors, rather than cooperating with those birders/photographers who use the reserve regularly.

WWF must probably forget that all birders who can access the Northern and Jockey Club Floating Hide have contributed their membership fee to WWF every year. So, to prioritise those 'paid', one-off visitors is totally UNFAIR to the members of WWF.
