Subject: [Hong Kong] Zappey's or Blue and White Flycatcher? [Print This Page]

Taken at YMT on 2020-04-15
It looks like Blue and White but it also looks like Zappey's Flycatcher.
Are Blue and White and Zappey's Flycatcher the same bird but given different name in different regions?
Would somebody help me?

Hi,

Nice pictures !!

For me it's Blue-and-white Flycatcher (Cyanoptila cyanomelana).
Regardless of the fact that Zappey's Flycatcher is a different species and which is not in our area, the black / dark blue mask which descends on the chest are clearly visible to differentiate it.
