We are working to upgrade the Peter Scott Field Studies Centre (PSFSC) meeting the needs of our Mai Po Community, and to deliver a 21st Century Nature Classroom by 2022.
WWF’s operations to protect the Mai Po wetlands and connect our community with nature with visits to the nature reserve continue as usual, with our public eco-visits open for bookings online at wwf.org.hk/gomaipo/. Our visitor teams at the Mai Po office and visitor centres in both Long Ping and at the reception cabin at our Peter Scott site are ready to welcome you. The forecourt will be closed from 27 Apr 2020 onwards.
The health and safety of our visitors is a top priority. We are supporting the community health precaution measures to contain the spread of coronavirus, and have implemented enhanced cleaning precautions at all our centres in line with World Health Organization and Centre for Health Protection guidelines. Measures include hand washing, hand sanitizers and clear advice on wearing of masks for all our visitor activities, which take place with small family groups in the outdoors.
The Peter Scott building at the site is now closed for preliminary work ahead of demolition that commences in April 2020.
Please visit our new visitor centre near to Exit B at Long Ping MTR station. Visitors that have booked a tour to Mai Po Nature Reserve can enjoy our shuttle bus service to and from Mai Po. This service will also stop at Lok Ma Chau, an additional pick-up point to offer visitors greater flexibility.
