Thank you for posting this record.
This bird was ringed on 12 February 2019 while it was still a chick in a nest at Mai Po. It's great to know that it is still doing well.

If possible, could you post the whole picture (or send to me privately). Can you also confirm the date of your sighting - your post states 21st December, which is a date in the future! I'd also be interested to know exactly where on the reserve you saw the bird, so that we can understand more about how Collared Crows move around the area.

The original photo was deleted. It was taken on 12 Dec around 7:45 A.M. in front of Hide No. 1. It was eating a small snake with other crows. Here are some recovered photos.

I also saw this crow was with them. It looks like a escaped crow.

Thank you for posting the extra photos. Interesting to see it eating the snake, we don't know very much about their diet.

The other bird is very interesting. Those rings are not the usual metal rings used on wild birds, so I agree it seems it may be escaped from somewhere. It's worrying if people are trapping this globally endangered species to keep in captivity.
