Subject: newbie wants to go digiscoping [Print This Page] Author: chonki Time: 18/08/2007 14:16 Subject: newbie wants to go digiscoping
I went through some of the topics posted here...
and I guess choosing a fieldscope body+eyepiece wouldn't be too difficult since I have a limited budge.
Just that I am a bit confused about the DC/DSLR adapter stuff.
Is it I have to buy a special eyepiece for digiscoping? or any eyepiece will be good as long as I have some special adapter? (my another concern will then be whether the adapter is easily available.)
What I am looking at the moment...is the Nikon series.....because they have their own adapter available....saving the trouble of worrying about the problem of heavy vignetting (I guess..).
but there are some other choices available......and I think that would be wise to ask for more advices here.
I already have a Tripod (Berno A227)....but only have a ball head.....
and my budget is around $6000-$7000(excluding the DC/DSLR).
My purpose for digiscope is just for record. Therefore the image quality isn't too much a concern as long as it is decent enough. I care more the magnification. I guess...a 82mm objective would be a better choice (?)
I would be grateful if someone can give me some suggestions
