Subject: Warbler ID please [Print This Page]

I m unsure but I think between Kloss's Leaf Warbler or Sulphur-breasted Warbler
The yellow color is pronounced in the lower part, but not completely either when you go down ... the marking of the head is not very black either.
(Tai Po Kau - January 3rd)

I m surprise this species can t be found in the book "the bird of Hong Kong and South China" nore the field guide to the Birds  of China (Oxford university)

It is mentioned in both books, indeed not as a species but as a subspecies of Blyth's Leaf Warbler (see text). It is now a separate species, Hartert's Leaf Warbler - Phylloscopus goodsoni.
