Mudflat outside North Floating Hide, MPNR

Spotted two banded pigeons again. Numbers on the ring could be read this time. Hope they could find their way home.

I think these may be Taiwan Racing Pigeons.

Taiwan is probably the biggest Racing Pigeon country in this region, if not the world. I had several of these pigeons on Po Toi in my time, most often in April and May. You can contact the Taiwan Racing Pigeon Association with their number if you want.

But to be honest, they are much safer here in Hong Kong and will have longer lives. Racing Pigeons do not survive long in Taiwan, unless they are Champions (which these aren't as they have got lost).
