WOWOWO, what a nice capture~
You guys should tell the bird banding to buy the engraved leg flags (leg flags with numbers on!). They will reveal a lot more information especially when there are so many good photographers here in HK!! Author: ajohn Time: 30/08/2007 17:39
We have briefly discussed trying to use engraved leg flags on waders in HK. As you say, it would improve our understanding of bird movements.
The simple leg flags used at the moment reveal some information about the movements of the population but are of limited use regarding the movement of individual birds.
Perhaps it is something that will happen in future.
