IUCN Red List and BirdLife International have updated threatened status of bird species every year. In the update announced in Dec 2021, it has two changes related to the species found in Hong Kong:

Mountain Hawk Eagle: Least Concern to Near-threatened.

Chinese Grassbird: Vulnerable to Near-threatened.

It also worths to mention that Red-crowned Crane, a very popular crane species for East Asian people, has also been downlisted from Endangered to Vulnerable.

國際自然保護聯盟及國際鳥盟最近更新年度瀕危鳥類狀況，在2021的更新中，有兩種在香港出現的鳥種有瀕危級別的改變：

鷹鵰：無危升到近危

大草鶯：易危降到近危

同時值得一提的是丹頂鶴，在東亞很受歡迎的鶴類，也由瀕危降至易危。
