I checked with Australian researchers:
JNC was ringed in Western Treatment Plant, Melbourne, Victoria, Australia (-38.05,144.52) on 29-Dec-2018 as an adult.
It was resighted once at the same site on 19-Feb-2019.

The distance from Melbourne to Hong Kong is around 7400Km. It's really a long distance flight!

It is! But they do make some stops in SE Asia when they flew north from Melbourne base on tracking data. See this webpage.
