【隆重宣佈】eBird 香港鳥類名錄正式上線！

好消息～香港觀鳥會與公民科學平台eBird合作，根據《香港鳥類名錄》製作了屬於香港的中英文鳥名 (Common name) 清單。即日起使用eBird就可以用大家熟悉的雀仔名，方便查圖鑑或搜尋相關資料。

除此之外，鳥會由即日起正式透過eBird收集觀鳥紀錄。所有在eBird上的公開紀錄，都會用作編寫每年出版的《香港鳥類報告》。當然，鳥友亦可以繼續透過「記錄提交表格」提交觀鳥紀錄。

1. 於首頁選擇「設定」Go to “Settings”

2. 點選「俗名使用語言」Select “Common name language”

3. 揀選「中文（香港）」或 “English (Hong Kong)”

4. 確認後便完成！Press confirm and you are done!

Exciting news for Hong Kong birders! The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society and eBird @team_ebird have launched two new language packs on the eBird app: Chinese (Hong Kong) and English (Hong Kong) that match the official "Hong Kong Bird List"!

To get started, simply head to “Settings” > “Common Name Language” and pick your preferred pack. Now you can select “Grey Plover” instead of “Black-bellied Plover” and “Chinese Bulbul” instead of “Light-vented Bulbul” while composing your checklist!

One more thing: the HKBWS will now officially include public data from eBird in the upcoming 《Hong Kong Bird Report》, so birders can easily submit data by making their checklists public on eBird. We hope this makes it easier for all Hong Kong birders and citizen scientists to share their observations.
