Many BFS have come to Mai Po now, including several colour-ringed individuals. If you see any ringed BFS, Please post the information here or send it to me (bfspoon bill @hkbws.org.hk  *remove the space*).

By the way, the one ringed in North Korea in July 1995 was seen at Mai Po yesterday (6 Nov). So, it is in 12 years old now - the longest longevity record of wild BFS.

The North Koren (ringed in 1995) BFS was seen again today at Mai Po, feeding in draining gei wai #19.

Hi Katherine,

I think It should be A23. More ringed BFS have started lost their plastic rings. I think we need to record the ring bird whether is adult or immature bird that give extra information to the identity of the bird.

K73 on the scrape (gei wai #16/17) during high tide these last few days.

Seems the over-summering flock at Mai Po is down to only 2 individuals these last 3 weeks, shame.

From the Blue-yellow-red colour rings, Its number is K57 and it was ringed at South Korea on 20 July 2006.

At the same time of presence of 2 Oystercatchers, there were 3 ringed BFS in a flock of 20 BFS.
