I was going through some photos from November taken out in Deep Bay and noticed this dark looking gull amongst the Black-headed Gulls. Anyone know what it is?

Interestingly, the curlew in the background of this photo has Hong Kong leg flags.
Only 1 curlew has been flagged in Hong Kong, on 20th September 2005. This bird has now come back for (at least) its third winter here.
