Immature Black-capped Night Heron got a bit of a surprise as it made for the large rock in front of the Man Fung Restaraunt, when it suddenly noticed me in waiting........

Hi mguy,
It is a stunning series capturing of a flying Black-crowned Night Heron with background of sea surface!
Grateful if you can avoid using short form to show the bird name.

I like the pose of this one even better, Bob!
Appears just a touch soft. Perhaps it's the critical focusing that you missed ... Author: tbob Time: 12/07/2007 17:38
KK,
Yes the focus maybe slightly off, the Heron was bobbing up and down on the floating cable. This is almost full frame at 45 metres (according to Google Earth) and is manual focus. Still I shouldn't be making excuses.

By Request, except from N.F. another Black-crowned Night Heron
Bob,
I visited this hot spot today. I share your view it is very difficult to get a tack sharp focus as the Black-Crowned Night Heron stood on the floating object.
