I just found that I forgot to open a new post for the winter records of Long Valley!
3 Jan 08 Cold and Sunny
The cold weather didn't bring much surprising bird species to LV.
Birght-capped Cisticola x2 (at least)
Bluethroat
Lesser Coucal
Ruddy-breasted Crake
Grey-headed Lapwing (seen by Hey)
Japanese Quail (seen by Hey)
Citrine Wagtail x2 (seen by Hey)
I'm wondering whether the crake is the same individual as the one appeared with the Baillon's Crake a few months before.
I keep missing the Citrine Wagtails. Could you tell me which part of Lng Valley they are on.
Many thanks

Both individuals of Citrine Wagtail were seen in Pond 189 and Pond 191 which are in a patch of eight ponds/farmlands planted with water cress adjecent to Beas River and on the SW side of a large Lily Pond.
One individual were seen regularly in this location from early December.
Hope i made the description clear.

I had a quick stomp around today. Plenty of pipits, wagtails, dusky warblers and lots of Zitting Cisticolas around along with other regulars. Others of note included:
