agree! we were all extremely excited to see this male flycatcher! Author: wgeoff Time: 14/04/2008 03:50
Congratulations. A superb male.
As far as I am aware, this is only the third ever spring record of Yellow-rumped Flycatcher in Hong Kong, the other two being 16 April 1989 at Pak Nai and 29 April 2006, also on Po Toi.
Where on Po Toi did you see it? Author: Beetle Time: 14/04/2008 12:57

Near the end of the beach there are some stairs going up to the forest (where there is a small platform).
4 different flycatchers were seen there, including ferruginous, blue & white, a probably female Narcissus(not seen by me), and the yellow-rumped. Author: wgeoff Time: 14/04/2008 18:23
Thanks.
It's the first time this year that anything has been seen in that area - and you get 4 flycatcher species!
