Photographed yesterday while I was waiting for a taxi at NSW. It seems to be a bird in in-between plumage which confused me as at first I thought it was a Redstart and then a Stonechat. Neil

This is a male stonechat - the black head pattern is clearly visible and will become more obvious over the winter as the pale feather tips wear away.
