繼10月4日清除薇甘菊活動後，長春社和香港觀鳥會決定繼續追擊植物殺手，希望能在薇甘菊的種子成熟期前再次到塱原清除薇甘菊，以控制其擴散。
有關活動詳情如下：
日期: 2008年11月8日 (星期六)
時間: 上午9:15 - 下午1時
集合地點: 上水火車站 (彩園邨出口)
對象: 6歲以上人士 (12歲以下小童需有家長陪同參加)
名額：60
費用：全免
報名方法：將參加者姓名、聯絡電話電郵至 yvi cky@hkb ws.org.hk (請先刪除空白鍵)或傳真至2314 3687

注意事項:
1. 此活動要求參加者作數小時的體力勞動，需要一定體能。
2. 大會將提供手套及其他工具。
3. 參加者請穿著輕便服飾，請自備太陽帽、防曬用品、蚊怕水等野外活動用品，參加者可多備一套衣服以作替換。
4. 本會已為此活動購買保險，參加者亦可自行購買適當保險。
5. 如活動當日早上7時仍然懸掛3號或以上風球，或黃色暴雨警告，或雷暴警告，活動將會取消。

After the Mikania removal activity held on 4th Oct, The Conservancy Association and The Hong Kong Bird Watching Society decided to arrange another Mikania removal activity in order to further control the spread of this exotic species before the fruiting period.
Details of the activity:
Date: 8th Nov 2008 (sat)
Time: 9:15am - 1:00pm
Gathering place: Sheung Shui KCR station (Choi Yuen Estate Exit)
Target participants: Age 6 or above (children under age 12 must be accompanied by parents)
Quota: 60
Fee: Free of charge
Application: Please send the participant name(s) and contact number to Miss Vicky Yeung via email yvi cky@hkb ws.org.hk (please delete space) or fax 2314 3687.

Important notes:
1. Participants are required to do physical work for a few hours, good physical ability is preferred.
2. Gloves and other equipments will be provided.
3. Casual wear is recommended. Please bring hat, sun block, insect repellent. Participants are suggested to bring spare clothes.
4. This activity is insured, participants can also purchase suitable insurance themselves.
5. The activity will be cancelled if typhoon signal no. 3 or above, or amber rainstorm signal or thunderstorm signal is hoisted.

經過義工們落力的清除，我們合共清除了超過100籮薇甘菊!
