Nice photo. However, this is a Wood Sandpiper and not a Green Sandpiper. Green Sandpiper has more or less uniform green upperparts. The white "speckling" on the bird in the photo is indicative of Wood Sandpiper.
Wood Sandpiper is the commonest wader at Long Valley. There are usually 2-3 Green Sandpipers around, as well as 2-3 Common Sandpipers.

But I read from the book "Birdwatching in Wetlands"
Green Sandpiper should be "Dark Brown upper parts with tiny pale spots"
In fact, this bird is Wood Sandpiper "Mainly grayish-brown upper parts marked with dark patches"
Icorrect the title accord with the book.
