This bird has rather thin spiky legs and smallish bill, thus I think it is one of the smaller sparrowhawks. The thick mesial and even tail bars suggest Besra, and I would hazard to guess it's an immature female given the build and the yellow eyes. Author: Beetle Time: 15/11/2008 22:51

I am glad that my photos can raise discussion about identification. I think photos of Accipiter hawks are always worth discussing.
Just to clarify about the size, i am only lucky to get a pretty large photo of the bird. It was not as big as a crested goshawk; i have photos of the same bird chasing a Large-billed Crow. It was only half(or a little bit more than half) as big as the crow.
