News report from RTHK on 28th Nov 2006, regarding a second outbreak of H5N1 in South Korea and it is mentioned that the location is on migratory bird routes
This is how the media hype starts and the myths are created - all of S. Korea is on a migration route and it's difficult to see how migratory wildfowl would necessarily come into contact with chickens on a chicken farm.
Actually it'd be interesting to know the type of landscape the farm is located in. Most of Korea is very mountainous, isn't it.
And in S. Korea they sensibly call it "oultry Flu", I believe.

not long ago, i read a newspaper saying that due to global warming, virus keeping under the ice in siberia contracted the migrating birds hence in turns spreading the world. is it possible, i wonder ?
btw, recent extremely bad weather really cause us trouble.
