Dear Society Members,
Recently there has been a notable increase in the number of bird photographers/watchers using bicycles to access areas and hides within the Reserve.
In the last fortnight alone we received 2 complaints from visitors about the increasing number of bird photographer/watcher cyclists. Also a few days ago one photographer took a WWF staff bicycle from the WWF Car Park to use in the Reserve without asking permission which is totally unacceptable.
WWF will soon introduce a bicycle registration and control system to limit the no of bicycles used by visitors inside the Reserve. Further information will be posted on this forum in January.
In the meantime, please use bicycles only if completely necessary.
