Dandong Birdwatching Society, Donggang Tourism Board and Dandong City Government will hold the Donggang International Bird Festival at Dandong Birdwatching Garden from 25th April to 4th May 2009. A bird photographic competition will also be held. The Dandong City Government sincerely invites 2-3 HKBWS members to join and they will arrange tour to visit Yalu Jiang, river mouth at the border between China and North Korea and Hushan Changcheng. The Dandong Birdwatching Society will also try to apply for permission to visit Hongshilazi Provincial Nature Reserve (which as recent records of and not open to public) in Kuandian County. The trip will last for 3 - 5 days and all the expenditure in Dandong will be covered by the Dandong Birdwatching Society.
