I was on a school trip in Yangshuo, China last week and while on a small hike along the road I saw this pure white flash across the road. I followed it up a dirt road but was unable to locate it. 15 minutes later while walking along some agricultural fields I found it and got a few decent photos from a distance with my Panasonic FZ28. A bit blurry but you can still make out the details. A hint of blue in the wings. It was absolutely beautiful to watch fly from field to field. A pure white Kingfisher which I'm 90% sure is a Common Kingfisher. Please correct me if I'm wrong. Sorry I couldn't get better photos.
Here are some interesting birds I saw while in Yangshuo - an absolutely lovely town. I highly recommend the Yangshuo Mountain Retreat. Spectacular scenery. All the birds I saw were a short walking distance from the retreat.
Vinous-throated Parrotbill
Red-billed Blue Magpie
Streak-breasted Scimitar Babbler
Fork-tailed Swift
Black-throated Tit
Rufous-capped Babbler
Hill Prinia
Brownish-flanked Bush Warbler
Grey Bushchat
Collared Finchbill
Vertider Flycatcher
