最近兩星期以來早上返工有時會見到佢，
成日企響麗港公園外同一枝燈柱，
好醒目，見到我影佢就週身唔自在。

上星期五重見到另一隻家鴉叼住一舊食物飛，
星期六早上見到一隻鴉（未睇清楚係咪家鴉，不過未見過大嘴同椋鳥打）被一對黑領椋鳥趕，
唔知係咪響附近有巢。

Saw this House Crow a few times in the last 2 weeks, always perched on the same lamp post outside Laguna Park. Very wary about me taking photos.

A second House Crow was seen flying with a lump of food in its bill Last Friday.
On Saturday morning a Crow (not sure if it was House Crow, but Large-billed seldon fought Starlings) was driven off by a pair of Black-collared Starlings.
Wonder if there is a House Crow nest somewhere nearby.

Does anyone know how many House Crows there are estimated in HK?? I remember seeing them every day for some time few years back, but now I only see a few flying about in certain areas. Surely the population control schemes are working??

自從上次影完之後有兩星期冇再見，
不過今早（5/5/09）又響觀塘碼頭廣塲，近迴旋處見到一隻，
口中叼住一大舊食物，
驚覺性好高，舉機想影時已經飛走咗，
方向係茶果嶺，
顯示好可能附近有巢。

I haven't seen them for two weeks since my last photo.
However I spotted one again this morning, on Wai Yip Street outside Kwun Tong Harbour Plaza, near the roundabout at Kwun Tong Pier,
with a big lump of food in it's bill.
It was very alert - flew away in the direction of Cha Kwo Ling before I could take a photo.
I think it is a good indication that there is a nest somewhere nearby.

Location of the sightings:

Seen at least 5 times since early April, at around 08:00 in the morning

18/4/09 at around 07:30, a pair of Black-collared Starling fought a Crow (not sure if it was House Crow)
18/4/09 早上 7 時半，一對黑領椋鳥和一隻烏鴉打架，但不肯定是否家鴉。

17/4/09 at around 08:00, another House Crow flying with a lump of food in the bill, towards northeast.
17/4/09 早上 8 時，見到另一隻家鴉叼住食物向東北方飛去。

5/5/09 at around 08:00, flying with a big lump of food in the direction of Cha Kwo Ling.
5/5/09 早上 8 時，叼住食物飛向茶果嶺。

我覺得香港的家鴉情況不算是嚴重！
相比日本和五年前的新加坡，真係好少。
幾年前在深水步見到成大班，在舊警察宿舍。之後都無見過咁多了！
我可以話你知我觀鳥這幾年，在茶果嶺方向某處係有見過，但每次都只得兩三隻，未見有增加跡像。

今朝06:30第一次在紅磡區(近何文田)見到兩隻家鴉，仲同黑領椋鳥大打出手。

今天（7/5/09）早上 7:40 左右在觀塘碼頭公園見到一對家鴉在三個鳥巢週圍活動，
巢有點像黑領椋鳥的，而兩隻家鴉不知在餵幼鳥還是找食物。

Found two House Crows in action around 3 nests at the small park next to Kwun Tong Pier at around 07:40 this morning. The nests look like those of Black-collared Starlings. Not sure whether the House Crows were feeding their young or raiding other's young.

位置在 "E" 點 "E" marks the site

口中有食物 Food in the bill

好像是黑椋的巢 Looks like a Black-necked Starling's nest

其中一隻飛出來打量我 One of them flew out to check me out

巢位於標有 "x" 的樹上 "x" marks the tree on which the nest is located

另一個巢 Another nest

今天（8/5/09）早上再去公園觀察，
一對家鴉仍在，看來當地是牠們常到的地方。
The couple was still there during the visit this morning (8/5/09).
Apparently the park is their frequent haunt.

牠們都頗為警覺和好奇
They were quite alert and curious.

還見到一對黑領椋鳥
A pair of Black-collared Starlings were also seen.

黑椋飛到昨天有家鴉的巢中拔取巢材，但家鴉沒有反應。
One of the Starlings pulled out nesting material from the nest visited by the House Crows yesterday,
but the Crows didn't seem to care.

這個巢較像是鴉科鳥類的，會不會是家鴉的家呢？
This one looks more like a corvid nest. Could it belong to the House Crows?

似係黑領椋鳥巢多D,至於兩隻家鴉係度做乜嘢就真係唔係好知。
可能佢哋未夠鐘生蛋掛。

今日（12/5/09）早上又響公園見到，相信係同一對。
Saw them again at the park today (12/5/09), probably the same couple.

這隻早上約 7 時半我到達公園前已在。
This one was there before I arrived at around 07:30.

另外一隻遲了約十分鐘才出現，原來的一隻馬上迎了上去，像是要打招呼。
原來的一隻時常叫，可能是公，遲來的不叫，相信是乸。
The other bird appeared about 10 minutes later. The first one went to greet it immediately.
The first one often called, probably a male. The other was silent, probably a female.

約 7 時50 分我要離開返工，回頭一望見到兩隻鳥停在巴士站的燈柱上，
還以為是另外一對，原來是牠們找到了食物，但只有一隻（太太？）留下來享用。
I started to leave for work at around 07:50, but found two birds on a lamp post as I looked back.
I thought it was another pair. But then I realized that were the original ones who have found some food.
Only one bird remained to enjoy it, probably the wife.

也許食物太大了，家鴉一時抓不穩掉了下來，走近一看，原來是一個叉燒包。
The food was dropped - perhaps it was too big to handle. I was able to come up close to check - it was a Chinese roasted pork bun (cha siu bao).

從今天的觀察看來，這對家鴉正以公園為覓食塲所，而且可能有人餵。
Based on today's observation, the pair of crows is probably using the park as foraging ground.
Perhaps they were being fed.

今日係深水步汝洲街同白楊街交界見到兩隻站在一間不斷切凍肉的舖頭旁邊的招牌上，
其中一隻逗留了大約5分鐘，期間一直打量，嘗試，結果最後真係執到一舊凍肉飛走了！

土瓜灣海心公園：三隻，其中一隻可能是幼鳥
九龍寨城公園：一隻

早前忘了報告: 16/08/09午間於九龍仔公園小食亭轉左不遠, 有數隻家鴉不時在樹間來回飛過, 大約有半打, 很吵鬧. 牠們多在空地上飛過, 那亦代表在我坐的桌椅上方。

今日（13/12/09）中午牛頭角道淘大商場對面一棵大樹（屬牛頭角下邨範圍）有一隻。
Saw one on a tree opposite the Amoy Plaza at Ngau Tau Kok Road (inside the Lower Ngau Tau Kok Estate) today (13/12/09) noon.

今日(2010年1月30日)下午九龍寨城公園有四隻，
其中兩隻重飛入美東邨搵食。

4 House Crows were found at Kowloon Wall City Park today afternoon(30/1/10).
Two of them flew across the street into Mei Tung Estate to forage.

昨日（17/4/10）觀塘碼頭巴士站有六隻家鴉互相追逐。
Six House Crows were chasing each other at the bus terminus at Kwun Tong Public Pier Yesterday (17/4/10).

去年十月底攝於九龍城碼頭，最少有四隻

另外最近在九龍灣牛頭角一帶常見到最少兩隻
At least two are often seen around Kowloon Bay and Ngau Tau Kok recently.

14/8/11
今天下午6時38分在深水埗見到一群約 20 多隻家鴉，
地點是汝洲街和南昌街交界。
牠們結成兩隊在大厦上空向西飛（見地圖），起初我還以為是鴿子，
相信是回到麗閣邨一帶夜棲。

Saw a group of about 20 birds today at around 18:38 at Sham Shui Po,
at the junction between Yu Chau Street and Nam Cheong Street.
They were flying west (see map) over the buildings in two groups - I took them for pigeons initially.
They were probably going to roost at around Lai Kok Estate.
