A pair is nesting on gei wai#16/17 and sat on a couple of eggs.
Pied Avocets have threatened to breed at Mai Po for many years, copulating and building half nests. However this is the first confirmed full nest with eggs and as such is a first for Hong Kong.
The nest is best viewed from Hide 3.
