Subject: White-cheeked Starling? Please help [Print This Page]

The photo below was taken on 07Dec2008 at Shatin Central Park.  I guess it is a White-cheeked Starling, possibly juvenile.  The thing that amuses me is that I found many Red-billed Starlings in the park on the day but no adult White-cheeked Starling!
請幫幫忙,是否灰椋鳥?幼鳥?

This is a White-cheeked Starling.
What date was the photo taken?

Cheers

The bird is a White-cheeked Starling, in fairly heavy moult (probably moulting from juvenile to winter plumage). It is sufficiently grown to be fully independent of the parents so there is no reason that there should be other adults around (apart from the fact that a sociable species like this would usually be in a flock).

Ah, I see.  Thank you very much.
