This autumn is a fruitful season!
Data collected from bird surveys showed that in this autumn (Sep and Oct) both abundance and no. of species are the highest among 4 years (2006-09).
The average number of birds recorded in Sep is 477 and Oct is 648, which is 30.6% and 19.9% higher than last year respectively.
While we have recorded the highest no. of bird species in one single survey on 27 Oct 09, with total 58 sp. recorded. The previous highest record is 52 sp. on 5 Nov 07. There were altogether 90 bird species recorded in Oct 09 (whole month) which is the highest since our management in Dec 05.
This is a great encouragement to the management team.
