Common Redshanks:
"13" was ringed at Shenzhen Futian Nature Reserve on 21-Apr-2023. It is carrying a GPS tracker, which shows that it bred in Eastern Mongolia in 2023 summer. In Deep Bay, it frequently comes to Mai Po mudflat and uses Futian Reserve as high tide roost.
MY was ringed on 4-Mar-2022. It was regularly recorded at Mai Po, 24 records. You saw this bird 2 years ago in Mar-2022.
UT was ringed on 28-Sep-2022. It was recorded 16 times at Mai Po. You saw this bird earlier in Nov-23.
XH was ringed on 15-Nov-2023. This is the 1st sighting.
XN was also ringed on 15-Nov-2023 but have been reported 15 times since. You saw this bird earlier in Nov-23.
Z4 was ringed on 20-Sep-2020. 44 records from Mai Po over the past few winters. It was reported once in Sha Kiu.
Sighting of Curlew Sandpiper HD is a nice one! It was ringed on 3-Apr-2022. Only resighted once (by me!) last spring in Bohai Bay, China in May-2023. Nice to know it comes pass Mai Po again.
