Satellite tracked Pacific Golden Plover migration

This is fascinating. A Pacific Golden Plover satellite tracked from Nome Alaska to the wintering grounds.  Not only did it stop over on migration in Hong Kong for 3 days on northwards migration, but in autumn, it flew non-stop from Alaska to Okinawa - a distance of 8,800 km - in 8 days.
