Just saw two photos on the Bird's ID section, taken by Leica 800mm + 7D, frankly speaking, I'm disappointed by the quality of the photos......and at such price.... don't get me wrong, has noting to do with cthomas, I am talking about the equipment.

I still think for over 10,000Euro, I'd have expected more of the eqt., may be it was the low light....oh well... what U use is yr own choice, have fun with it by all means.

I saw two(2) 2nd hand 1.4/f 500mm Canon in TST, asking for around HK$28,600, those who are interested might want to go and have a look.  This lens is too big for me.....I mean if I go hiking, I wouldn't want to carry it, the 800mm is even bigger and heavier.
