This white-throated kingfisher landed on a wooden plank at Maipo in the afternoon of November 19th.   Posed as a monk in meditation he stared at the mudflat.  Hasty he hovered above the water for seconds and brought back his prize.  He took wing to the back of the shrub to enjoy the meal.
