It's a first-winter rather than a full juvenile (i.e. has moulted out of juvenile plumage). A juvenile should have pale fringes to the feathers on the upperparts (
http://orientalbirdimages.org/se ... _Family_ID=&p=7), and there are some retained juvenile feathers in the wings and tail. You are right that the age probably accounts for the pale throat (and dull wings).
