This gull has been around for a few weeks, joining the two that have oversummered in Deep Bay. It has very pale plumage (whitish) with darker subterminal marks on the upperparts, and on this basis I had thought it was a Mongolian Gull.
I'm slightly confused by age though, because I thought the body looks like a first winter, but the stage of moult does not seem to be correct for that age.
