Route: Sai Wan Ho to Po Toi via waters east of Waglan, then after nearly 3 hours on Po Toi, motor slowly across southern waters to West Lamma Channel and Aberdeen
Very quiet at sea. Only these were seen:
White-bellied Sea Eagle 1 ad (off Lamma)
Reef Egret 2
Ruddy Turnstone 1 (off Lamma)
Eastern Curlew 2
Aleutian Tern 3
With effort, it was possible to see a quite a few migrants on Po Toi. The following were found by HKBWS outing group and HKBWS members who arrived on an earlier boat
Chinese Pond Heron at least one
Cattle Egret at least one
Northern Boobok one seen early morning
Indian Cuckoo at least one
Black Drongo at least one
Brown Shrike at least one
Grey-headed Canary Flycatcher one (latest spring record by 1 day)
Asian Brown Flycatcher 1
Grey-streaked Flycatcher 3
Narcissus Flycatcher female
Red-breasted Flycatcher one (latest spring record by 4 days)
Red-throated Flycatcher summer-plumaged male
Japanese Bush Warbler one
Dusky WArbler 1
Yellow-browed Warbler at least one
Arctic Warbler one singing (also at least one Arctic/Japanese Leaf Warbler)
Grey Wagtail 1
