[Hong Kong] Feeding birds in cold spells maybe worthwhile

Feeding birds in cold spells maybe worthwhile

[I haven't checked if thread w similar topic]

I'm from UK, where many people have bird tables, putting out food for garden birds during winter.

Here, this is perhaps often unnecessary as winters mostly mild/warm. But in cold spells, like at present, harder for many birds to find food, and seems to me it can be worthwhile to put out some food - that is, if you live in a place where this is possible.

Here's a shot from today, with bulbuls feasting on rice. Tree Sparrows also came for the rice. Previously, I've put out some unwanted fruit, which attracted birds inc blue magpie.

Cold again; and again worth mentioning that birds can appreciate food. I've found rice, pasta good; also overripe bananas as here.
