Excellent shot for the 2nd one!  The foggy surrounding built up the contrast of the natural mangrove at the front and the modern buildings at the back while one of the relatively isolated pied avocet was outstood among all the birds at the back.  This is another contrast!  Stunning!

A very good example that without good weather and sunlight, excellent photos are still able to be taken.
