I could see some brown or grey color in the underpart.  From the appearance and the size you have mentioned, could it be a Grey Treepie?   But the bill doesn't fit...Or could it be a black-winged cuckooshrike (but the size should be much smaller than a common spotted dove...)

Koel, I have thought of plaintive cuckoo too but the size was a bit too small.  Disregard of the size, I think it's most likely a plaintive cuckoo.
