A gentle reminder.
I am not objecting people to take photos of chicks of egrets/herons
Egret chicks are very sensitive to us. We are predators from their pt of view.
Unlike other birds, when a predator is approaching (can be everyone, not only photographers and researchers), they tend to get away and escape. It could be a disaster, esp when they fall on the ground. No parent will feed chicks on the ground. These poor chicks will starve and be dim-sum of feral dogs and cats.
Therefore, it is highly recommended that photographers should not stay more than 5 mins.
This rule applies to the research team as well.
