Closure of the old WWF Bird-watching Hide : July 2008

Due to structural damage caused by last week's Tropical Storm, the oldest WWF floating birdwatching hide will be shut down for essential repairs. The hide has survived incredibly well over the last 23 years, but is now in need of either serious maintenance or replacement. We will investigate these options in the coming months.

Repairs to the hide are nearing completion, but unfortunately it will not be ready for public use until mid-late November. The repairs have been extensive and required more resources than first anticipated.

A further posting will be made once the hide is open. Apologies for any inconvenience the prolonged period of closure has caused.
