I have just got this information of Russian-banded Black-faced Spoonbills
thsi summer from Mr Ozaki at the mailing list of the Japan Black-faced
Spoonbill Network:

Three young birds at Furugelma Island, Russia were banded on 15 July 2008.
The following are details of the color combinations:

B46067（Number of metal ring. On left tarsus）　white/light blue (plastic
color band on the right tarsus)
B46072（Number of metal ring. On left tarsus）　ling blue/ white (plastic
color band on the right tarsus)
B46073（Number of metal ring. On right tarsus）　white/light blue (plastic
color band on the left tarsus)

Please circulate to banders and birdwatchers in case they see these birds
during migration and winter.
