為維持泥灘作為水鳥覓食地的重要性，本會將於六月十三日起至十月底進行管理泥灘植物的工作。本會職員及外判承辦商將於后海灣退潮時份，即觀鳥屋前的水鳥數目較少時進行工作。請不要誤以為他們是非法漁民。

In order to maintain the mudflat area as a valuable feeding habitat for waterbirds, from 13 June to October 2016, WWF will conduct management work on the vegetation on mudflats.

Our staff and contractors will only work during periods of low tide when the waterbirds in front of the hides are very few in number. Please do not mistake these workers for illegal fishermen!

Was the work postponed this year? There seems to still be a lot of sedges on the mudflat in front of the hides, and shorebirds seemed reluctant to land when I was there yesterday. There are still quite a few mangrove seedlings present as well this year.

The first treatment of the sedges and grass has been carried out in early July. Second treatment will be completed by the end of October as planned.
