Where do the autumn migrants in Po Toi usually come from? Australia? Southeast Asia?

No, but it would be nice to see.

They are flying south, having either bred (i.e. adults) or been the output of breeding (i.e. first year birds) from further north in mainland China up to Russia, Korea and Japan. They are passing through HK on their way to SE Asia or from the beginning of November, to winter in south China.
