Hi Paul, just interested to know whether bluish sheen on the head is a feature shared by both Japanese PF & Amur PF, as those JPF adult females I have seen in the field plus the photographs on OBI both seems to show a rather non-glossy black cap. Also the contrast between throat and breast is a feature I usually expect more from Amur, although I do agree the back and tail colour is very purplish for all APF I have seen. Thanks!
